Wig Tips
• Use a denman/paddle to detangle the hair gently, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
• Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioners to keep the hair clean without stripping its natural oils.
• Deep condition the hair regularly to keep it hydrated and to maintain its softness and shine.
• Limit the use of heat styling tools. When necessary use a heat protectant to avoid hair damage.
• Do not use silicon mix on raw hair/bundles
• Store raw/virgin hair extensions or wigs in a cool dry place
Washing
• Wash wigs every 7 - 14 days to prevent buildup
• Gently detangle wig section by section before applying water, start at the ends and work your way up. Please take your time, not fully detangling hair can result in hair becoming matted under water.
• Use warm water and shampoo affordable products such as (Aussie Moist, Nexxus, Tresemme).
A product I highly recommend that cost a little more (Matrix food for soft shampoo and conditioner).
• Use a denman or paddle brush never use a comb
• Rinse thoroughly to remove all residue
• Apply conditioner all over
• Leave on for 5 - 10 minutes
• Rinse with cool water to seal moisture
• Gently squeeze excess water, pat dry with a towel
• Air dry on a wig stand is recommended, if need to blow dry on medium with heat protectant ( favorite to use Garnier fructis sleek n shine oil or Tresemme)
• Keep heat tools below 375°F to preserve hair longevity
Special Instructions for Curly/Water Wave Hair
Define. Hydrate. Protect.
Curly/waterwave hair is high maintenance please be sure to detangle your wig before washing, during and after washing we must treat our wigs like our regular hair.
Detangle using a paddle brush not comb.
Detangle from the bottom of the hair to the root, work in sections.
Products you'll need: Lotta Body honey mousse or Doux mousse and denman brush (Conair Dr.Knot brush found on Amazon/Dollar General) or paddle brush.
Only use ONE PRODUCT please do not cake on products this can cause severe dryness with your curly/water wave wig.
Example: 1 mousse product, oil of choice and air dry
Example of what not to do: Mousse, gel, cream and oil.
Apply oil after mousse
Let hair air dry for best curl pattern if short on time use diffuser
We don’t recommend wearing your wig “wet” to dry being this can cause matting & tangling from friction.
Please do not sleep on wet hair
Remember the more you run your hands through curly/wavy hair the puffier it gets.
